Intel has just completed the technical specifications of what should be the USB 3. Manufacturers in the computing world now have access if they want to incorporate into their future products. For the moment, no availability date is known.
Appointed superspeed USB, it offers theoretical transfer speeds of 5 Gbits per second, or 625 megabytes per second. Remember, USB offers rates of 1.5 Mbps (0.18 MB / s), USB 1.1 or USB 2.0 Full Speed of 12 Mbps (1.5 Mbps), and l 'High Speed USB 2.0 reaches 480 Mbps (60 Mbps).
The superspeed USB is therefore 10 times faster than the latest USB standard. Proponents of the standard intend to respond to the evolution of FireWire.
Pending products, Intel unveiled the logo and some visual connections.
